In 2009 the founding shareholders retired from the company with the sale of shares to NTP Radioisotopes SOC Ltd, a state-owned company and subsidiary of the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation SOC Limited (NECSA).
Gammatec Head Office is situated in Vereeniging, South Africa, from where it directly services its customers. Additional support is provided by dedicated distributors in Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. There are numerous appointed non-exclusive distributors in territories to provide personal interface support and service. Gammatec is an equity shareholder in a Belgian company, Oserix, a leading supplier of Projectors and industrial isotopes for territories including Europe and North Africa and the principle distributors of the Exertus range of Projectors.
